The NSW Government’s 2010 Metropolitan Water Plan outlines a plan for securing Sydney’s water future. In 2010, about 33 billion litres of water a year are saved through reuse projects. By 2015, this will increase to 70 billion litres of water a year. Small scale, cost effective schemes using recycled water such as the Wilton Recycled Water Treatment Plant are providing new opportunities to save precious water.
